“Let us unite our group and let us all work together and achieve the better” these was the most encouraging words of the late Charter President Mario S. Araos of Rotary Club of Rizal West during the first luncheon meeting of the Rotarians and businessmen, sometime in April 1999.

The first luncheon meeting became the trigger and culminated the organization of the ROTARY CLUB OF TAGUIG SOUTH. A series of weekly meetings were held at the Executive Lounge, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation, Bicutan Plant, Paranaque City. When the membership reached its highest number of thirty three (33) prospective Rotarians with different occupational skills, such as policeman, priest, soldier, banker, doctor, real estate broker and others, a Charter President was chosen. MR. EDUARDO R. NICOLAS III became the Charter President of the Club.

The Club was finally chartered on January 19, 2000 and was bestowed as “THE FIRST MILLENNIUM CLUB” of R.I. District 3830 thru the guidance and leadership of then District Governor Guiller Tumangan and with the support of other Rotarians from the mother club, the Rotary Club of Rizal West. Among them were, PP Al Montecillo, PP Mando Acosta, PP now PDG Jaime Cura and the very energetic PP Paul Chang, with their full support the Club continuously soar high with great pride and glory for “Service above self”.
